Additional support units from uMvoti and eNdumeni Local Municipalities, were sent to the raging fire in Pomeroy.
Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), confirmed resources were deployed to the fire, including municipal Fire and Rescue Services.
Disaster Management teams are also on site, assessing the situation.
Buthelezi also said the uMzinyathi District Disaster and Rescue team was fully activated.
