Brenda Happy Dammie, Chairperson of the Section 79 Rules Committee and Deputy Chief Whip of the ANC Caucus in the City of Joburg, has died.
Dammie died on Sunday, 20 July 2025.
The City said in a statement on Monday, “she served diligently in all her roles and will be remembered for her vibrant and colourful personality, which brought warmth and spirit to every space she occupied. Her presence in Council was marked by lively engagement and a distinctive energy that will be sorely missed.”
Adolphus Marema of the City, said “we send our heartfelt sympathy to her family, friends, and comrades in the ANC Caucus during this difficult time. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her legacy will continue to inspire our communities.”
