City Power said in this morning’s update, work is well underway to fix the Eikenhof substation.
An incident which occurred last night at the pump station, will affect water supply to most areas in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg Water is unsure when the problem will be fixed, but said it is resorting to throttling water or reducing supply to delay water running out of the reservoir.
Areas affected are in Soweto, Johannesburg South, Roodepoort / Randburg and the CBD.
