An audit of substations begins on Friday, the 4 October 2024.
City Power said in a statement on Monday, a comprehensive audit of mini substations, will kick off in areas supplied by the Roodepoort Service Delivery Centre.
Isaac Mangena, Spokesperson of City Power, said the audit is to align accounts and meter numbers with physical addresses, verify the payment status of accounts and assess the condition of meters.
“This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery and ensure accurate billing within the distribution network.”
About 500 mini substations will be audited in 2 years, in Witpoortjie, Welterden Park, Stomill, Princess, Lufereng, Lazerpark, Honeydew, Grobler Park, Florida, Fleuhorf, Constantiakloof, Amarosa
Allernneck and surrounds.
Mangena said City Power will provide councillors with information regarding specific areas where technicians will be conducting the audit work.
