A cold front is expected to land over the Sarah Baartman district, in the Eastern Cape.
Meteorologists at the Severe Weather and Information Centre of Southern Africa (SWAICSA), forecast these conditions could spread eastwards by Sunday evening.
Moreover, a Cut-Off Low pressure system, is expected to develop over western South Africa on Thursday.
As a result, severe conditions including strong winds and colder weather, could make landfall across parts of western, southern, central and southeastern South Africa, on Thursday.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected to persist over Tsantsabane, Kgatelopele and Siyancuma local municipalities in the Northern Cape.
