A cut off low pressure system is expected to arrive on Monday evening, the 07th April 2025, on the Western parts of South Africa and move to the Northern and Western parts of the Eastern Cape.
The system brings along disruptive rains, which could lead to localised flooding in low-lying areas.
Significant amounts of rainfall of between 25 and 50 mm are also expected over the Northern parts of the Northern Cape, the Free State and the North West.
As a result, the SAWS has issued a warning level 4 for the Northern and North-Eastern parts of the Northern Cape.
A level warning 2 was issued for the western Free State and extreme western North West.
