Cyclone Dikeledi has claimed 5 lives and affected about 40,000 people in Nampula Province, Mozambique.
The National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD) reported that more than 6000 houses were either damaged or completely destroyed, as well as 3 health facilities and 35 schools, affecting 2,562 students.
Cyclone Dikeledi, which hit the northern part of the country last week, destroyed roads in Nametil-Angoche, Nampula-Corrane, Angoche-Liupo and Liupo-Corrane sections.
As a result, the National Road Administration (ANE) has reported that there has been erosion and aqueduct collapse on the roads N104, R686, R689 and R687.
