The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) has announced its collaboration with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

This partnership is expected to provide USD150 million financial support for vital infrastructure projects in renewable energy generation, water supply and energy efficiency for South Africa and the wider continent. ​

DBSA said this partnership represents a pivotal milestone in advancing sustainable infrastructure development, addressing climate change, and driving socio-economic growth.​
