In just six days, the Kingdom of Lesotho and the Republic of South Africa will officially launch the Senqu Bridge, in Mokhotlong.

The 825 -metres long and approximately 90 metres high bridge in Lesotho, is the country’s longest, and very first ever.

The Lesotho Highlands Water Authority said the bridge will ensure continued access to Mokhotlong and surrounding areas once the Polihali Reservoir is filled.

The ceremony on Wednesday, the 22 April 2026, will be officiated by King Letsie III and President Cyril Ramaphosa, as part of the celebration of 40 years of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.
