A delegation from Lower Saxony in Germany visited the East Bank Treatment Plant in Nahoon, in the Eastern Cape on Friday, the 04th April 2025.
The Buffalo City Metro and the City of Oldenburg, partnered to wards this and other projects in the pipeline.
The plant is being upgraded to improve existing infrastructure, treatment capacity and use 100 Kilowatts (KW)Solar Energy.
It will reuse water through Biogas, Membrain Biological Reactor System (MBR System) and Sand Filters.
The multi- million rand project, which began in Kuly 2024, will be implemented in three years, ending in July 2026.
