Residents of Botleng, in Delmas blocked the N12 with burning tyres on Wednesday, demanding electricity be restored to the area.
They did the same on the Bronkhorspruit Road.
Eskom said in an update on Wednesday, residents have not had electricity for weeks, due to supply interruptions at the main substation.
This is due to theft and vandalism, resulting in significant damage to high-voltage equipment.
Eskom also said “our technicians worked tirelessly through the night to restore power after the first two incidents; unfortunately, a third interruption occurred this afternoon.”
The power utility said it is working with Victor Khanye Municipality and SAPS to beef up security.
