The City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) has announced the containment of a fire at the South African Breweries (SAB) premises, at the company’s Bara depot.
Xolile Khumalo, Media Liaison Officer at the City of Johannesburg, Emergency Management Services (EMS), said the fire erupted at the outdoor crate storage area.
“Firefighting teams remain at the scene, conducting salvage and damping down operations, ensuring that there are no flare-ups and that the area is fully secured.”
There are no casualties reported as a result of the fire and the main structure at the premises, was not affected by the fire.
