About 33 homes in Mamerotse village, in the North West Province, were destroyed by this week’s windstorms.
About 29 of the homes in the City of Matlosana (Khuma), were affected.
Of these, 12 are RDP and 14 had roofs blown off by strong winds.
The Mahikeng Local Municipality Disaster Management said its team is on the ground to rescue and clear out all the blocked areas caused by the recent hailstorm.
“We still call upon the residents of Mahikeng to take extra precaution, look after the children, the senior citizens and all the vulnerable residents and report any damage caused by the storms” said the Municipality in an advisory on Saturday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecast isolated showers in the North West on Sunday.
