Lindelwa Simphiwe Hamilton is the new Director General of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic).
Lindelwa has a Master in Defense Administration from the Royal Military College of Science, accredited by Canfield University in the United Kingdom.
He also holds an Honours degree in Politics and a Bachelors of Military Science from the SA Military Academy, accredited by Stellenbosch University.
He has served as Executive Director of the SA Aerospace, Maritine and Defense Industries Association (AMD).
He has also held the positions of Acting Group Chief Executive Officer at the Gauteng Growth Development Agency (GGDA) and CEO of the Tshwane Automotive Special Economic Zone (TASEZ).
The Black Business Council (BBC) congratulated Hamilton and also applauded Parks Tau, Minister of the dtic, for filling the position of the DG, last occupied in 2021.
The BBC said this would stability to an important department.
