Reservoirs in the Commando system are low, providing little, to no water, to residents.
Johannesburg Water said in an update on Sunday, that five reservoirs are low, including Crosby, Brixton, Hursthill 1 and 2, as well as the Brixton tower.
The entity also said the system is strained due to reduced inflows and high demand.
Affected areas are Northcliff, Melville, Auckland Park, Bordeaux, Bryanston, Johannesburg CBD, City Deep, Robert, Linmeyer, Fordsburg, Kibler Park, Mulbarton, Langlaagte, Industria, Brixton, Mayfair, Jan Hofmeyer, City Deep, Robertsham, Linmeyer, Fordsburg, Kibler Park and Hursthill.
