One person died when tropical storm Lala landed in Hawaii, on Monday.
A power outage affected 117,000 households, in Kula, Hāʻikū, Olinda and Piʻiholo, along with parts of West, Central and South Maui.
There are fallen trees on power lines and damaged infrastructure.
The National Weather Service (NWS) of County of Maui said the storm continues to move west of the main Hawaiian Islands.
Lala brought hurricane-force winds — gusts of 85 mph in Olowalu and 82 mph in Ukumehame, along with heavy rain and flooding, on Saturday.
