This carriageway between Mount Edgecombe and the Sibaya Interchange, will be fully closed from Saturday, at 10pm into Sunday, the 22 August 2026 to 02:00am.
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) advised motorists of the temporary nighttime closure.
Jason Lowe, SANRAL’s KZN Provincial Specialist Geometrics Engineer, said “construction is well advanced on the N2 and now requires installation of further road sign gantries. This closure is part of the ongoing upgrade process for the N2 between KwaMashu and Mdloti.”
