The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has attributed a power outage in most areas in Summerstrand and Arlington to a trip of a 132kV circuit breaker at the Chelsea-Arlington substation.
As a result, affected areas are the EP Command, Forest Hill, Humewood, Southdene, Summerstrand up to Marine Hotel, Sections of South End, Summer Dunes, SAWTRI and surroundings areas, Happy Valley, the Court Yard Hotel and surrounding areas, Marine Towers, Strand View, Cape Recife Waterworks, UPE, Technikon Village, Boardwalk Casino, Kurumanskloof and surrounding areas, ADS(Arlington Drift Sands), Driftsands Lovemore Park, Miramar, Pari Park, Providential, Schoenmakerskop – DSK, Schoenmakerskop Village, Walmer and Willow Area – DSK.
