Water tankers will be availed to the community of Pretoria East, the City of Tshwane confirmed on Monday morning.

The Mapleton Booster Pumping Station, had 2 power trips, one on Saturday evening, and another, on Sunday morning.
As a result, pumping water has not happened.

In an update on Sunday morning, the City said  Joint Operations Committee meetings between its officials and the City of Ekurhuleni (where the Mapleton Pump Station is located), are ongoing, to investigate the cause of the power trip.

“If water is not restored at the Mapleton Booster Pumping Station, areas in the East of Tshwane, will not have water supply, as pumping will not take place. Mapleton Booster Pumping Station, pumps water to the City of Tshwane’s reservoirs, in the East of the city, which in turn supply water to the City of Tshwane’s reservoirs.”
