A statement by Eskom said this is due to a continued improvement in available generation capacity as a result of three units that were previously on outage being returned to service.
On Monday, Minister of Electricity in the Presidency, Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, announced 100 Megawatts would be secured immediately from Mozambique. This amount is expected to increase to 600MW and eventually 1000 in the coming months.
