South Africans will join 7 billion other global residents to gaze at the moon for a total lunar eclipse display, on Sunday, the 07th September 2025.

The event marks the earth passing between the moon and the sun, at different times.

The first show appears between 17:28 and 17:30, while the partial eclipse starts at 18:26, and the rare full blood moon is at 19:30, until 20:52.
