Johannesburg Water (JW) said it is implementing actions to stabilize the Lenasia Systems.
“The critically low levels observed in the Lenasia Hospital Hill and High-level reservoirs have necessitated the introduction of daily intervention.”
JW said it is closing water at night as a measure and reopening at various times of the day.
Pumping of water continues.
Another reservoir that is low in Johannesburg is the Orange Farm, Ennerdale and Lawley.
JW said it is also closing water at night, to increase water throughout the day.
