The SA National Defence Force (SANDF) confiscated illicit goods of around R695 000,00 at Beitbridge.
The goods were heading to SA in the early hours of Sunday, when the army uncovered them.
The first set of Illicit cigarettes valued at R534 531,00, was among the goods.
The army also confiscated more illicit cigarettes valued at R145 770,00 and alcoholic beverages of about R14 880,00.
Speaking about the busts in just a week, Lieutenant Colonel Stasie said “this success is a direct result of sound leadership, thorough planning, and the application of training received over the years. Our members continue to serve the people of South Africa with pride and integrity.”
