Children can now learn basics of farming sustainably at a tender age, thanks to farmer, business woman and author, Selinah Ntjana.
Ntjana, launched a book this week, titled ” Farm Fun” showcasing cultural activities to children via an activity colouring book.
“Showcasing agricultural activities to children is a way to raise awareness and knowledge on both the agricultural sector as well as end product results.”
At the show on Saturday, Ntjana emphasized the importance of farmers as well as their involvement in the production process.
Activities were held during the day of the event which coincided with an agricultural expo, flea market, exhibitions by different stakeholders showcasing their products, from raw material to the final product, and competitions for both parents and children.
“We believe it is important for our little farmers/children to know more about the importance of food growth and livestock and this event with your help will be the first of many steps leading them in the right direction.”
