The Lesotho Highlands Development Agency (LHDA) announced the near completed final section of the 830m deck, part of the construction of the Senqu Bridge, will be completed in the next three months.

The Agency said launching of the two decks to a few meters of each other, will be completed by mid-August for the shorter Western section and the end of August for the Eastern section.

After completion of the ancillary deck works, permanent bearings, approach roadworks and surfacing the bridge, will follow, and will be completed by early February 2026.

The Senqu Bridge is the first extradosed bridge in Lesotho, at a height of 100m and 830m long.


Once completed, it is expected to restore access across the Polihali reservoir and bring visitors to Phase II.
