Seriti Green handed over the Vunumoya Main Transmission Station (MTS) in Mpumalanga, to Eskom, on Wednesday.

The plant, which cost about R1 billion, is now integrated into the grid , to provide the first 155 Megawatts (MW) of wind energy.

The power will come from Seriti Green’s Ummbila Emoyeni One Wind Energy Facility.

This is the first of a planned 900MW of renewable energy rollout.

The plant was initially scheduled for March 2026, but the first phase was accelerated to deliver energy from 28 November 2025.
