The planned 24 -hour shutdown of the Northern Aqueduct, kicks off from 1 am on Tuesday, until 1am on Wednesday.
The EThekwini Municipality said a 800 mm steel pipeline at Hippo Park Avenue (Point E), will be repaired during the shutdown.
Upon completion of the work, the system will be inspected, pressure tested and gradually recommissioned before normal operations resume.
