Some residents of Tshwane, have taken to social media to air frustrations about lack of water supply, for five days on Monday.
Authorities say a water outage in parts of the Tshwane city centre, Sunnyside, Arcadia and Eastwood, was caused by a leakage of a main pipe.
The City of Tshwane, said its plumbers were dispatched to Willow Road, earlier today, to expose the broken pipe.
That turned out to be a mission.
First the team had to close and isolate the steel pipe chamber, before pumping water out of it.
Only once that is completed, will the team have to cut and replace the damaged pipe with the one with welded stub, and then join and weld the other side of the pipeline.
The City said it would dispatch water tankers to supply affected areas.
It is not clear as yet, when water supply will be restored.
