About 23 fallen trees were reported across the city of eThekwini, following Saturday’s storm.
The trees were reported at Masabalala Yengwa Avenue (four trees), Currie Road (five trees), Prospect, Balmoral, Kenneth Kaunda, Ridge, uMhlanga, Mazisi Kunene, John Zikhali, Patrick Duncan, Kloof, Margaret Maytom Avenue, Hilltop, uMkomaas, Marian, Amanzimtoti, O’Flaherty and Quarry, and Hatton Avenue, Sherwood.
The Municipality said its Recreation and Parks Directorate, is working with the Emergency Services, at multiple incidents across the city.
No casualties were reported as a result.
Fire Services are also attending to a damaged billboard near the N2 and Queen Nandi Drive, which might pose a risk to road users.
