In 2 separate incidents reported in Johannesburg, officials were targeted at work.
The City of Johannesburg, said in a statement, that its Council Chief Whip, Sithembiso Zungu, was injured in a shooting incident on Monday morning.
In a separate incident, Rand Water confirmed one of its employees was killed in a tragic incident, in Zakarriya Park.
The name of the employee is still withheld from the media, until his family approves.
Last week, Eskom technicians in Khayelitsha, resumed work, after they were attacked in December, in Nkanini, Cape Town.
Other similar incidents were in Mabopane and in Zwezwe (Khayelitsha).
