Dubbed “the people’s imbizo” is well underway at the Jan Smuts Stadium in kuGompo City, part of the Buffalo Municipality in the Eastern Cape.
Zolile Burns Ncamashe, the Eastern Cape’s Cogta Deputy Minister is at the Imbizo, so are Xolile Nqatha, Safety MEC and Princess Faku, Buffalo City Metro Executive Mayor.
Government organizations, traditional leaders and civic society, are also in attendance.
The imbizo is expected to provide an opportunity for residents to raise concerns and call for action on critical issues affecting communities.
Central to discussions is last week’s coronation of Nigerian “king” Solomon Ogbonna Eziko.
