Three foreign nationals were arrested in Kimberley for allegedly transporting stolen property, in the early hours of Friday morning, 10 April 2026.
The vehicle was intercepted by the police on the N12.
The police said in a statement, they approached the vehicle and ordered the occupants to disembark.
Then they discovered several containers filled with diesel, estimated at around R10 000.00.
The suspects failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the possession of the diesel.
Suspects are between the ages of 21, 29, and 36.
They are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.
General Charlotte Makgari, District Commissioner at Frances Baard District, said those involved in criminal activities are brought to justice during and beyond the Easter Operation Paseka in the district.
Police also recovered 59 sheep, 12 goats and 05 Cattle, in Mncwasa and Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape, on Thursday.
One 23-year-old male suspect was arrested while two of his accomplices fled the scene.
The sheep, which had been stolen from a kraal the previous night, were positively identified by their rightful owner.
In another stock theft incident in Phingilili and Bhokisini, about 48 sheep and 12 goats, were recovered, on Wednesday and Thursday.
