The price of fuel could go up to R26.16 per litre in September 2026, from a current R25.42 per litre for Petrol 93 and R25.58 per litre for Petrol 95.
The outlook was mentioned in published predictions for fuel prices based on mid-to-late-month data by the Central Energy Fund (CEF).
This is an increase of at least 66c for Petrol 93 and about 88c per litre for Petrol 95.
Diesel could go up by 77c to 99c per litre.
The Department of Minerals and Petroleum is expected to release monthly information soon.
