Two senior Major-Generals, one suspected to be the head of the Hawks in Gauteng, were arrested in Houghton, on Sunday.
The police said the two were arrested with a Durban-based security company owner, for alleged illegal dealing and unlawful possession of precious metals.
Police also said these arrests are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle corruption.
They are expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
