Well, the World Meteorological Organization’s provisional State of the Global Climate report, confirms that 2023 could be the warmest year on record.
Data collected until the end of October, shows that the year was about 1.40 degrees Celsius (with a margin of uncertainty of ±0.12°C)above the pre-industrial 1850-1900 baseline.
The years 2016 and 2020 were regarded as the warmest this century, until the World Meteorological Association, started communicating records about the hottest temperatures in Africa, Europe, North and South America, and Antarctica.
Sea surface temperatures have been at record highs since April.
