The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has warned against severe thunderstorms, over the western parts of the North-West Province, northern parts of the Free-State, as well as the extreme south-western parts of Highveld of Mpumalanga.
As a result, heavy downpours are expected to produce hail and strong damaging wind.
This might damage property and infrastructure, settlements and disrupt travel.
Damaging waves are also expected between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay.
The SAWS has also warned against extremely high fire danger conditions over the north-western parts of the Free-State, western parts of the North-West, central and north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as the northern parts of the Western Cape.
There is also a possibility of rain in parts of Tshwane, Johannesburg West, Klerksdorp, Welkom, Vryberg (30% chance) and a 60% chance of rain in Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
