Some Nigerians are celebrating the rescue of three (3) people who came out alive but injured, from a collapsed building, in Lagos, Nigeria.
One (1) person was found dead.
The three storey building suddenly caved in, on Friday morning, on Akilona Street, near Fadeyi Bus stop, off Ikorodu Road in Lagos.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said its Cobra Response Team from Onipani Base continue to search for more people.
Engr Akinsanya, Director of Operations at LASEMA, said the cause of the collapse is still unknown.
The building was used for both residential and commercial purposes.
This is the second building to collapse in that country. About twelve (12) people were rescued after a building collapse, and three died (3), in Ogun State, back in July 2026.
