The City of Tshwane urged motorists and pedestrians to avoid streets affected by a march by the Economic Liberators Forum, on Tuesday.

The march is well underway, moving from the North West Development Corporation in Hammanskraal, from 09am.

Affected streets are Mosemegi, Sangoma, Makgadi Cresecent and the  9th Street.

Motorists are urged to use the 3rd Avenue and Harry Braude Road, until after 3pm.

The movement is made up of the Africanist Renaissance Movement, ATDFASA, Tshwane Bahlali, North West Bahlali, Operation Dudula, Defend and Region 3 Pheli.

The march comes days after a letter of intent to resign, by Zandile Dabula, one of the leaders of Operation Dudula Movement.

“In a letter addressed to the organisation, Dabula is said to have cited deepening internal divisions and operational challenges as key factors behind her decision to step aside. The development places the movement—widely known for its hardline position on illegal immigration—at a critical crossroads” said the organisation on its social media sites.
