Wilson is an orphaned white rhino calf, who lost his mother at a South African game reserve.

Animal Survival  International said this week, he was found collapsed and gravely injured, following a hyena attack at the reserve.

“Rangers reached him just in time, and he was airlifted to our partner -Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary (CFW), where specialist teams worked around the clock to stabilize him.”

But despite all the efforts, veterinarians and caregivers, could not save him.

Wilson succumbed to his injuries.

The centre said “his story is a heartbreaking reminder of the immense challenges facing orphaned rhino calves and the urgent need to protect Africa’s rhinos from the ongoing threats they face.”
