A fire that ripped through the second floor of a building at the corner of Mooi and Kerk Streets.
The City of Johannesburg’s Emergency Services (EMS) said they were alerted to the fire just before 06am, on Friday.
The fire was contained with no confirmed reports of injuries.
Xolile Khumalo, Media Liaison Officer of EMS, said “inspectors are at the scene and will commence investigations as soon as all fire operations are concluded. Residents of Johannesburg are urged to remain cautious when using electrical appliances.”
