Police are investigating an explosion reported at a Woolworths store, at Menlyn Mall on Atterbury Road, Pretoria.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning.
The police say preliminary findings, point to an unknown explosive device, which detonated on one of the store’s shelves.
This was at around 1am.
Five packers were on duty inside the store at the time, but were not harmed.
Damage sustained was limited to food items and shelving inside the store.
Members attached to the SAPS Bomb Disposal Unit, K9 Unit, Crime Scene Management, as well as detectives, are investigating.
