The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber has launched an Ambassadors Programme to promote and attract investment.
The programme plans to use business leaders, influence, networks and expertise to create pathways for investment, business-to-business linkages, and partnerships.
Denise van Huyssteen, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, said “the Bay of Opportunity Ambassadors Programme is a collaborative strategy to attract investment, generate employment, and contribute to the region’s prosperity. Our ambassadors are not just advocates for our region; they are key players in fostering relationships that will bring new business and growth to the Bay. They will share the stories of success in Nelson Mandela Bay and showcase the potential for growth in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and renewable energy.”
Ambassadors are expected to actively advocate for the Bay during business engagements, conferences and networking events, highlighting the region’s strategic location, skilled workforce and thriving business ecosystem.
Van Huyssteen also said the programme is not just about promoting the region, but about creating a united voice that highlights Nelson Mandela Bay as a hub for innovation and opportunity.
