Several roads have reopened in Lesotho, following snow and icy conditions, this week.

But authorities advised motorists to plan travel during daylight where possible, carry chains or traction aids, and avoid unnecessary travel on affected routes, after dark.

The A1 Road (Butha-Buthe – Mokhotlong) is open and accessible, while the A31 Road (Mokhotlong – Sani Pass) is closed; and inaccessible.

The Department of Roads Directorate, said the vehicles can proceed with caution on the A8 Road  (Mafika Lisiu).

A4 Road (Ha Ramatseliso – Sekokoaneng) allows for 4×4 vehicles only; due to black ice in the mornings and evenings.

A5 Road  (Semonkong) is drivable during the day and also has black ice, during the day.
