Boikie Monareng is on his way to Cape Town from Musina, in Limpopo.
This is the third week, Monareng has been on the road, having left Musina Mall on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at around 08:30am.
He is walking and pushing a specialized wheelbarrow, to raise funds for township sports development and to provide school shoes and uniforms for underprivileged children.
Monareng arrived in Parys, on Friday, and was welcomed by runners and the representatives of the Ngwathe Municipality.
He is expected to arrive in Cape Town in January 2026.
He will rest for a week before making a return trip to Musina by bicycle.
He is expected to arrive back in February 2026.
In total, he is expected to have walked and cycled over 3,600 kilometres.
Luka Makhela is the only man on record, to have ever walked from Musina to Cape Town, in the late 90s.
