There is also a possibility of a cold front, later in the week, on Saturday, over the Southwestern Cape.
That developing system could bring potential rainfall to the region before spreading into southern Namibia and western and southern South Africa from Saturday into Sunday.
Meteorologists at the Severe Weather Information Centre South Africa (SWAICSA) confirmed this from satellite images on Monday.
But for Wednesday, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) warned against damaging winds at Level 2, between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas.
Winds could make navigation at sea difficult.
There is also the possibility of bergwinds developing over parts of the western Northern Cape and north-western Western Cape.
