The South African Weather Service (SAWS) confirmed that the cut off low pressure system, expected to bring snow and cold weather to parts of the Eastern Cape, as from Wednesday this week, will extend to parts of the Western Cape, Namakwa and the Northern Cape.

Disruptive rain (at level 5) which caused havoc in early May, is expected, over the eastern parts of the Garden Route District of the Western Cape as well as along the coast and adjacent interior between Plettenberg Bay and East London in the

Eastern Cape on Wednesday (03 June) into Thursday.

Similar yet lesser conditions at Level 2, are expected over the eastern parts of the Western Cape as well as the southern parts of the Eastern Cape.

The SAWS also warned against damaging wind and waves between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay on Wednesday into Thursday.
