No Tsunami alert was triggered, following two earthquakes in the North Pacific Region, on Saturday, the 21st June 2025, despite their severity.

No casualties were reported or damage to property.

The magnitude of the first quake was measured at 6.1, near Yuri-to island, Russia, at 21:23 GMT.

The second was measured at 5.7, near Yuzhno-Kurilsk, Yuzhno-Kurilsky District, Sakhalin Oblast, in Russia, at around 7:23 AM local time.

The second quake was approximately 10 minutes from the first.

Both quakes were felt as far away as Hamanaka-sakuraminami, in Japan (86 km away) and Shikotan, Russia (102 km away) Shibetsu.
