Water quality is in the spotlight in Tshwane. The City said on Tuesday, it is investigating the cause of the smell of drinking water affecting various areas.
The discoloured water, at the Montana Reservoir, North of Pretoria, comes from the Roodeplaat Water Treatment Works.
The City said it would use Rand Water’s back up system to supply water to affected areas in the interim.
Affected areas are supplied by the Montana Reservoir, the Magalieskruin reservoir and the Sinoville High Level.
