The fire in Mierkraal near Bredasdorp in the Western Cape, which started on Thursday, the 09th January 2025, is fully contained.
The Agulhas Municipality said Saturday was a tough day.
Although no injuries were reported, 4 houses were damaged and fortunately no injuries reported.
Mitchell’s Pass
The mountain fire in Michell’s Pass, reported on Sunday afternoon, was also contained on on the same day.
The Cape Winelands District Municipality said teams would remain on site for monitoring and mopping-up operations.
