Slanghoek/Goudini 🔥
The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s (CWDM) Fire Services have been deployed to attend to a fire on the mountains in the Slanghoek/Goudini Spa area.
The fire started due to a sudden change in wind conditions that occurred during a planned, permitted controlled burn.
The CWDM Fire Services, said firefighters and ground teams from Worcester and Robertson are at the scene, assisted by two contracted ground teams and the fire services of Breede Valley Municipality.
At this time, no damage to any property was reported. Fire Teams and ground teams are attending to the fire line closest to the Goudini Spa while another team is attending to the line running on the Slanghoek side.
